Greetings!

I'm following the create-a-blog-with-rails2 tutorial (using developer edition of RubyInSteel) and am getting a mysql script error when I try to do: 'rake db:migrate'. I'm on Vista using ruby 1.8.6 and rails 2.3.8. Seems like I might need to re-install MySQL?

Is MySQL installed correctly for Rails?

See here:
http://www.sapphiresteel.com/Rails-2-2-and-MySQL-Problems
http://www.sapphiresteel.com/Tutorials/Ruby-In-Steel-Tutorials/Hints-Tips-and-Installation/Installing-MySQL-For-Ruby-On-Rails

If you have any problems make sure that you can run the commands from a command prompt (i.e. without using Ruby In Steel). If you still have problems then you need to verify installation of - for example - your DB, Rake, Rails etc. before continuing.

best wishes

Removing/Reconfiguring the instance of MySQL solved it (permissions issue?)
