I recently installed Ruby in Steel on a clean 64-bit system with Windows 7.  When I try to run the debugger I get the following message:
Cannot find Rails (looked in C:\Program Files\ruby\bin)...have you installed Rails?

On 64-bit machines, 32-bit code like Ruby is installed into the "Program Files (x86)" folder.  Does anyone know where can I change this path value? I checked under Tools->Options->Projects and Solutions->Ruby in Steel and didn't see any incorrect paths.

Also, if I do "rails -v" at a command-line prompt, I see the correct version number, so the "PATH" environment variable is including the right path.

    Thanks,

Hello Rob. I sent you the following information by email:

Quote
The Ruby path for the current project is set in Project Properties

For all future projects it can be set in VS Tools/Options/Projects

More information on options can be found in the Ruby In Steel user guide supplied with the software or downloadable here:

http://www.sapphiresteel.com/The-Ruby-In-Steel-User-Guide

The relevant pages are page 22 and page 116.

Did that help?

There is also a thread that may be relevant here:
