I am running Vista Ultimate 64bit with Visual Studio 2008 and I cannot get syntax highlighting to work, much like some of the other posts on this forum about it in other versions.  Syntax highlighting works just fine in Ruby in Steel DE.  In PE, the color settings do not appear for Text Editor but are available for IRB Console and Ruby Console.  I have tried all of the methods mentioned such as the "Reset Fonts and Colors" menu option, using registry files available on the Ruby in Steel website and even manually erasing and changing they keys.

It sounds like this has been problematic in the past.  Is the PE version older and just does not have the update that the DE version received and will be coming soon?

Can you contact us direct at support at sapphiresteel dot com? This is a very tricky problem that only rately occurs and is extremely difficult (i.e. impossible) for us to duplicate. We've done some more research into this, however, and we'd like you to try out a patch that explicitly sets the appropriate registery settings. We can email you this if you contact us.

best wishes
