Which Rake Tasks Do You Need?

We are open to suggestions...

We are just putting the finishing touches to Ruby In Steel Developer 1.1. As I mentioned previously, this has new dockable Generate and Rake windows which give you the ability to create scripts by making selections and clicking a button to run them.

Our default list of Generate scripts is the same list as the Rails defaults. Coming up with a default list of Rake tasks isn’t so easy, though, as there are so many possibilities. Now’s your chance to influence our decision. Which, in your view, are the most useful Rake tasks to have listed among the defaults?

I should say that you will be able to customize the default list by adding and deleting items from it. Even so, it would be nice to have a sensible list of tasks set up as standard.

Any thoughts...?

I tried out the new rake pane in the edge release and I think it’s a nice improvement.

One obvious rake task I use a lot that seems to be mising at the moment: rake test:units
