New Digest, July 2007 - Towards A More Visual Ruby

First glimpses of Ruby In Steel 1.2
by Huw Collingbourne
Sunday 8 July 2007.

For those of you who haven’t been keeping a close eye on the Ruby In Steel blog, here’s a quick roundup of the juiciest bits from the past month...

- June began with the release of Ruby In Steel Developer 1.1
- The 30-Day Trial Edition has been updated (and you no longer need to register to download it).
- We are now hard at work on Ruby In Steel 1.2 and Dermot has started blogging about the forthcoming Visual Rails Workbench.
- We’ve also talked a bit about the Ruby Connector (this will also be in RiS 1.2), which will help you create a visual Ruby front-end...
- ...or let your .NET programs interact with the Ruby interpreter...
- ...and, if you want more details, we’ve even got some C# code to show how to use the Ruby Connector.
- Meanwhile we’ve been adding more articles to the Online Tutorials section.
- Including a guide to create a Ruby On Rails Blog - in two parts...

And that’s about it for this month. More soon...
