IronRuby Visual Designer - screencast

The road to ‘visual’ Ruby
by Huw Collingbourne
Monday 12 November 2007.

I wrote recently about our form designer for IronRuby - Microsoft’s .NET version of Ruby. When used together IronRuby plus the Ruby In Steel form designer provide you with the ability to program visual .NET applications in the Ruby language.

To give you an idea of what visual .NET Ruby programming looks like, I’ve just recorded a short movie showing the current version of our form designer.

Bear in mind that both IronRuby itself and our form designer are in the early stages of development. We have not yet released a public beta of the form designer. In the meantime, if you need to do visual form design today, using the standard Ruby interpreter, you can do so by using our Ruby Connector control.

More information on the Ruby Connector.
